ABSTRACT
This chapter explores how culture and religion are meaningful and meaning-making elements to conflict and mediation, why this is important to understanding power and empowerment, and the ways that interfaith engagement offers lessons to mediators. This chapter concludes by discussing several principles, processes, and biases for the mediator to consider when accounting for these elements and dynamics.
