ABSTRACT

Active management of agents is essential in order to protect the best interests of higher education institutions and international students. This chapter discusses agent management best practices by reviewing industry guidelines from four countries. It provides an overview of the fundamentals of agent management, including due diligence, contracting, support, training, finances, monitoring, dispute resolution, and termination. Furthermore, this chapter discusses some of the gaps in the existing guidelines and makes recommendations on how these could be addressed in the future.
