ABSTRACT

Tourist guides play a variety of roles in the realization of responsible tourism activities that do not harm the environment, aim to be intertwined with nature, participate in nature-oriented activities, and provide economic and social support to local communities. The purpose of this research is to look into the roles that tour guides must play in nature-based tourism activities. We conducted a review of the relevant literature and developed a conceptual framework to inform the purpose of this study. As a result of the literature review, some evaluations and recommendations were made regarding the direction and quality of policies and plans for tour guides in nature tourism activities.
