Women and Huipils

The aim of this case study is to highlight the appreciation and symbolism of the huipil, as an identifier of the feminine, the Indigenous and the otherness in the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. Likewise, the collection of women’s garments of indigenous women will be analyzed, especially huipiles through images and inventories of goods.
