ABSTRACT

This chapter posits that re-imagining performance documentation – particularly through ekphrastic means – may be a way to enliven, diversify, re-classify, extend the reach of, and render the performance (archive) more accessible to disabled and able-bodied people alike. Interspersed with (post)-poetic performance renderings, this chapter argues that creative, multi-perspective performance documentation methods can champion archiving as a living process – simultaneously animating current, and begetting further, performances.
