ABSTRACT
Pretend play is a resource for children’s adaptive development, especially for creativity, and should be encouraged by parents and teachers. Assessment of pretend play would be one way to determine a child’s creative potential. Educators should encourage pretend play in preschool and early elementary grades by providing appropriate toys, guidance, time, and space for play to occur. Play over remote platforms is an option.
