ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the outermost container of the classroom, which is the world-view of the teacher. A learning space that nurtures creativity dissolves stereotypes with authenticity, nurturing, and knowledge. The chapter stresses the importance of the teacher’s awareness of adolescent passage into adulthood. Art answering art gives students an experiential education in synchronicity and in that way, it guides them through direct experience into what it’s like to live in a participatory worldview. By enacting immediate art answering art and conceiving the mindfield, the members of the class begin to experience a quantum leap in the appearance of synchronicity into their lives. The presence of stillness and warmth that seems to soak into everyone in the classroom is how a classroom mindfield expanded by creativity feels. Cultivating creativity through feeding back brings students’ passionate interests out into the open.
