ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the Integral Practice and Radical Programming frameworks, which have been formulated specifically to meet the needs of the HG learner. One of the distinctive features of the IP framework is that it directly addresses the overall development of the HG learner. From a very early age, the HG learner is possessed of an immense potential for self-awareness and an extraordinary ability to visualize models and systems. The goal of a radical program is to work toward a highly integrated program over time. The HG learner is given every opportunity to express his or her interests, inner agenda, preferences, and driving force. However, the discussion focuses on three HG learners enrolled in the same high school to provide a cogent working model for RP and IP. Leal pursued self-study in a wide range of subject disciplines, with a focus on the fields of consciousness studies and political science.
