ABSTRACT

Technology has been crucial to humans’ success as a species. Some technologies have been as simple as the wheel, and others as advanced as the airplane. Technology continues to push the limits of the imagination. As use of technology in the classroom increases, the role of the teacher decreases. One job that certainly needs digital assistance is teaching. Teachers in the United States are notoriously overworked and underpaid. Their job is extremely important yet extremely difficult. Psychological behaviorism is a theory that casts the human mind as a machine. American psychologist B. F. Skinner used behaviorism to build a new conception of education. Skinner saw all learning as behavior that can be controlled through a system of rewards and punishments. Skinner developed vision for a teacherless classroom. Proponents of technology in the classroom also claim to be able to provide better source material.
