ABSTRACT

Lawrence and Pauline Leonard stress, “Prevailing thought suggests that improved student performance may be fully realized only when teachers routinely function as teams and abandon their traditional norms of isolationism and individualism”. Collaboration is a learning process that has led to exponential growth in benefits, both to us and our students. New teachers wishing to join the collaboration team are aware that everyone is expected to bring new perspectives to the meetings, where everyone learns from each other. Videotaping is also an easy alternative for collaborating teachers separated by large distances, and with the advent of new media technology, videoconferencing alternatives are endless.
