ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to present a scale for assessing the classroom climate for creativity, explaining its conception, construction, and validation. It is divided into four sections. First the chapter analyzes characteristics of the classroom climate conducive to creativity, including the presentation of research results. It focuses on the process of designing the scale and the third will explain how the instrument has been validated, including results of studies on which that scale was used. Finally the chapter highlights the implications of using the scale and the limitations of the instrument. There are many reasons to invest in the development of creative potential. The Classroom Climate for Creativity Scale has been based on a literature review. In an attempt to investigate the construct validity of the scale, its internal structure was verified through factor analysis. It is important to point out some limitations of the instrument.
