ABSTRACT

Creativity has great relevance, especially due to the current phenomenon of innovation. The recognition of the necessity of actions to produce innovation in different organizational contexts can be verified from the creation of laws establishing measures of incentives for innovation and scientific research by the Brazilian government. It aims to describe a measure of the climate for creativity in the workplace, which intends to capture a set of elements of this reality that can interfere with the expression of the employees' creativity. Creativity, innovation, and organizational change are closely related, meaning that individuals' and groups' creativity in the workplace can lead to innovations that, in turn, cause differentiated changes. The scale to be described in this chapter was the first identified in Brazilian literature to evaluate stimuli and barriers to creativity in the workplace.
