ABSTRACT

This chapter will address the confluence of data analytics, adaptive learning, and big data through the perspectives of integrated domains and interconnectedness. The future of education is becoming more visible as the coronavirus has forced much of education to move to fully online, remote, and blended learning modalities. We are already beginning to see artificial intelligence and cloud computing with all their advantages and issues, being integrated into much of our daily lives. These technologies, when taken together, are beginning to change the traditional roles in our schools, colleges, and universities to the point that many educators will reconsider their purposes as teachers, researchers, and administrators. Furthermore, these developments will have a profound impact on the techniques we use to conduct research on the education enterprise itself.
