ABSTRACT
The conclusion draws together the overall thesis that visual methods are important and enhance understanding of social issues. The two sections of the book provide detailed evidence for the centrality of images in research. In addition, subjectivity in the research process must be recognised and the value of reflexive, ethical and intersubjective approaches be understood and committed to if we are serious about understanding contemporary social phenomena.
