ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the development of metalanguage for translation project management, defined by the authors as information about translational and translatorial actions specified as translation parameters. Building on the existing specifications provided in ISO/TS 11669, we constructed an extended version of the parameters to encompass all the processes described in ISO 17100. Two major changes made by the authors include: (1) adding sub-parameters to improve ease of understanding and learnability, and (2) establishing new parameters for project task assignment and for evaluating translation quality based on the requirements specified in the translation parameters.
