ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on remote working as one of the flexible forms of work. The concept of remote working is very broad and includes different forms of remote working. The ability to work off-site, anytime and anywhere is undeniably linked to the digital economy and the opportunities created by technological progress. After a brief introduction to the research, Section two presents the methodological aspects of the research. The study was based on a survey of managers of medium-sized enterprises in Poland. The third section focuses on the benefits and challenges that accompanied remote working in the pandemic. Despite the unusual conditions, the benefits outweighed the possible barriers and challenges. The fourth section draws conclusions based on our own research and a review of similar recent studies in Poland. Based on these, it can be concluded that remote working offers both employers and employees a number of benefits.
