ABSTRACT
Sexuality education for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities is critical for supporting these individuals’ development and opportunities for improved quality of life. While inclusive and comprehensive sexuality education remains a frequently challenged, and often under-provided education, there are key reasons for supporting access to this information and teaching skills. This chapter focuses on sexuality education being a human rights issue, current issues related to sexuality education, purposes for teaching skills, and collaboration among families and professionals to support sexuality education.
