ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses the often neglected topic of Subject Leadership and looks specifically at the complex role of the subject leader for Physical Education and how it has changed over time and proposes a set of revised National Standards for the subject leader to ensure professionalism over managerialism is retained in the role.
