ABSTRACT
This chapter offers a meta-perspective on the empirical and conceptual work presented in Chapters 1–10 of the research anthology Social Issues in Esports. First, the chapter synthesises key findings from each section of the book. Secondly, it outlines three potential paths for moving forward in esports research on social issues. Some of the main points presented in the chapter are the need for further empirical investigations, critical sociological inquiries, and greater diversity in the esports contexts studied.
