ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book provides multiple perspectives in highlighting contemporary issues requiring qualitative and quantitative lenses in order to understand the intricacies of CommSocMed across research settings. It demonstrates using the organisational communication lens “how Japanese hospitality omotenashi can be understood as a narrative”. The book presents an equally interesting and thought-provoking research of Dall’Agata which is a thematic analysis of the Islamic State communication multidisciplinary approach, which was based on visual semiotics, thematic and mixed methods approach, in-depth interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, and a community of practice.
