ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author addresses the themes of anxiety and collective solidarity during the pandemic. The expert on crisis intervention emphasizes the importance of accepting the crisis in general and facing anxiety by coming into contact with other people: after all, it’s a shared crisis. This interaction turns out be fruitful as soon as ideas of dealing with the crisis come up – even if we are left with the uncertainty about its end. At this moment, the activation of imagination by sharing memories is key. The author gives an outlook on the near future that is positive. She sees the possibility of change and a good life after the pandemic, not based on consumption but on being more at one with nature.
