ABSTRACT

Brazil, with its countless discoveries, never ceases to bring the author inspiration and reflection. Observing Sao Paulo – a completely different capital than Rio de Janeiro, which can't be compared to Porto Alegre, which in turn, contrasts with Belo Horizonte, and even more with Salvador or João Pessoa – is fascinating. The worlds each individual lives in become their scenery, their landscape. A scenery for their lives, to find singularity, for “soul-making,” according to a major line of archetypal psychology. In this sense, soul-making is based on the relationship each person establishes with internal and external objects. A few feelings walk hand-in-hand and are even confused for the accelerated demand of modern society. One accelerates to search something. Just as a search for deceleration carries a request from the soul, a search for acceleration carries it too. It teaches people that acceleration requires reflection, otherwise it becomes empty, compulsive, purely defense or escape.
