ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to present the theoretical foundations and connections between digital trust and information and communication technologies (especially the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics). It begins by exploring the meaning of trust and digital trust. Next, it describes the characteristics of information and communication technologies, before setting out the connections between the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, and digital trust. The conclusion presents limitations of the study and proposals for new research directions.
