ABSTRACT

Latin America has a rich cultural heritage that is embedded in its craft products. Each country in the region shares a similar history in terms of economic and social development but differs in relation to the types of craft products that are made. This makes it interesting to analyse how the growth of countries in Latin America has influenced the making of craft products. This chapter discusses the role of craft entrepreneurship by focusing specifically on Latin America. Thereby highlighting the unique craft products that are made in this diverse region. Each country in Latin America is discussed in relation to its making of craft products and how this ties in with its heritage and culture. Thus, making a new contribution to the creative craft literature in terms of focusing on Latin American craft practices.
