ABSTRACT
The organization of repair offers ways to deal with trouble in interaction. Based on video-recordings of authentic interaction in hospital encounters, this chapter investigates the interactional organization of interpreter-initiated repair sequences in video-mediated interpreting. The analysis demonstrates how different sequential positions require different formats of the interpreters’ repair initiators and investigates the unfolding of repair sequences in a complex multilingual and visuo-spatial setting.
