ABSTRACT

Navarro and Hernandez contend that COVID-19 has highlighted some ugly realities in American race relations. COVID-19 has wreaked a profound toll on human life with much of its impact being concentrated unequally among marginalized communities and people of color, as shown by the collection of research in this edited volume. This chapter reiterates the ways in which systemic racism has intensified how COVID-19 has been experienced by communities of color and minority women. This chapter will suggest some recommendations on how people from the United States can come together to foster a comprehensive and equitable list of solutions.
