ABSTRACT
Lori Leibowitz, 2020 National Gifted Coordinator of the Year, writes about Norwalk, Connecticut’s success with the implementation of this curriculum. She details how the students in her district feel empowered because of the social justice nature of these projects. Leibowitz explains the journey of creating a more inclusive and equitable gifted and talented program. Her afterword serves as a conclusion to the Empowered Leaders books. It provides an administrator’s perspective on this student-centered, project-based learning curriculum.
