ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the history of the COVID-19 pandemic for the international community in 2020 and 2021, noting collaborations and international cooperation to address the global COVID-19 pandemic. This chapter specifically focuses on the LGBTQ+ community's experience with epidemics and pandemics in the past, provides a chronological history of the events of the COVID-19 pandemic, and addresses some of the substantive public policy concerns affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Finally, this chapter seeks to address the COVID-19 misinformation and show how this misinformation has caused harm.
