ABSTRACT

With this book, we have tried to provide the reader with a comparative analysis of the political party financing regulation (PFR) in several post-Soviet countries. We compared their systems of private and public funding regulations, the practice of enforcement, and compliance with the funding regulations. The analysis of the PFR in Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, and Ukraine will help observe general trends in the evolution of political parties and political funding in the region, the real impacts that PRFs produce on the developments in the political system of these countries as well as its limitations.
