India's Evolving Views on Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and Humanitarian Interventions

As a major emerging power, expectations are high for India to perform an active role in armed humanitarian interventions. Why and how India’s views on the doctrine of Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and Humanitarian Interventions (HIs) are a function of global institutional legitimacy and domestic normative legitimacy are the subject of enquiry for this chapter.
