ABSTRACT

2020 was a year that brought a tremendous amount of worry. We worried about the pandemic, the economy, racial injustice, and climate change. Early in the pandemic, when schools were closing and children were forced to learn remotely through media platforms, a CAM scholar tweeted: “Remember when we used to worry about children’s screen time? This special issue of the journal is a perfect example of the strength of this team – a strength that is rooted in resilience, creativity, and conviction. Since JOCAM’s founding by Dafna Lemish, the journal has been committed to reducing barriers. The members of JOCAM’s editorial board are generous in providing mentorship to scholars from underrepresented countries, including giving extensive written feedback to authors whose manuscripts would otherwise be desk rejected.
