ABSTRACT
This reflection discusses the impact of privilege on the design and dynamics of a college in prison course. The class was comprised of individuals incarcerated at the facility and students of a state university. It also examines the ways in which the reality and context of mass incarceration affected the class. Finally, the chapter concludes by examining the value of the course and offers suggestions and guidance for those considering offering a class of this nature.
