ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the research related to faith-based organizations (FBOs), and their potential role in recidivism and mass incarceration reduction. Additionally, the authors offer the case of the Czech Republic’s FBOs. Given the country’s high incarceration rate and its exceptionally irreligious environment, this case exemplifies the pros and cons of religious re-entry services in the secularized milieu of the criminal justice system.
