A Commentary on the Teaching Case Studies in Person-Centered Studies in Psychology of Science

After a brief summary of my understanding of the goals of Dr. Osbeck’s graduate seminar on the psychology of science, I examine three themes that emerged for me in the eight teaching cases presented by those enrolled in the course: the search for meaning in scientific discovery; the role of intuitive unconscious creative processes in the development of scientific knowledge; and the moral dimension of the psychology of science.
