ABSTRACT

Writing an ‘afterword’ is quite a complex matter. After all, it is not an epilogue which has the task of updating us regarding an event or events of importance, after the fact. Contrastively, an afterword has the important task of adding something either meta-reflexively, theoretically, or politically. Here, I will use the opportunity of an afterword to engage in a set of reflections that come after the many words that have sought to lay bare what might be social issues, matters of politics, questions of power, or insights into new ways of knowing. It must not present itself as having ‘the last word’, but rather, in the spirit of dialogue, point to what might be a way of moving ideas and theories, bodies and actions, forward.
