ABSTRACT

Transformation is a state of being that involves change in composition or structure, character or condition; in all of its contexts, transformation refers to the process of changing. Transformation can also be the outcome of critical and/or self-reflection as a result of creative exploration. It can be the perspective-shifting and worldview-expanding experience at the heart of empathy-building. In organizations, transformation can mean a fundamental shift in how people view, understand, interpret, or make use of their organization and their role within it. Cooperation is when people come together to produce output that provides those involved with something of value; it is a collaborative endeavor where mutual benefits are achieved as a result of shared actions. In organizations, many benefits are significantly associated with employee transcendence, such as commitment, prosocial behavior, teamwork, citizenship, courtesy, compliance, and reciprocity. But purposeful transformational change requires radical changes to both individuals and the organization's systems and processes.
