ABSTRACT
The synthesis of this symposium aims to propose a common concept of ‘responsibility’ from a multidisciplinary perspective. This concept can be formulated as follows: responsibility is a normative mechanism pursuant to which a behaviour, which causes a damage, be it a personal or a social one, implies duties to act (obligation of retribution) on the part of the author of the behaviour for who has suffered the damage.
