ABSTRACT
In this section introduction, the shift to online media literacy learning during the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated that, with a constant emphasis on ethics and equity and effective pedagogical content knowledge, media literacy for social justice can exist for a community of learners, whether in person or in an online environment.
