ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of part six of this book. The book offers a solid foundation for engaging political questions tied to knowledge and legitimation. It explores the experience of Jeffrey Duncan Andrade and Ernest Morrell as teachers in a secondary English classroom to building a grounded theory of practice that unapologetically centers the core principles of critical pedagogy. Disabilities, without the current social construction, are impairments that change the relationship between the human body and the physical world. The book also explores that education seemingly changed overnight in March 2020 as the pandemic brought institutions to a halt and a wave of online education was ushered in to take the place of physical classroom spaces. It provides insight into the chaos, challenges, and tensions of online learning.
