ABSTRACT
Relationship anarchy (RA) is the application of anarchist principles to personal relationships. In this chapter, we formulate and defend RA as a position in applied ethics. We explain how RA—which has hitherto been developed and spread mainly in queer and countercultural communities—makes original contributions to the philosophical debate about issues such as sexual consent, gender norms, monogamy, and polyamory.
