ABSTRACT
Total Quality Management is a continuous quality improvement system that enhances the organizational performance by reducing costs and waste and increasing productivity, market image, employee job satisfaction, morale, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. In Islam, the concept of quality management is not ignored. Quality issues are strongly emphasized in every aspect of human life according to the Islamic shari’ah law. The Almighty Allah (swt) has given instructions to every human being for continuous improvement in their life by following the Islamic guidelines, and He will judge them on the basis of their quality deeds. This chapter distinguishes the development of total quality management from the conventional and Islamic perspectives. The chapter also emphasizes how Islamic quality management approaches enhance the cultural values, social system, and business activities toward a better life.
