ABSTRACT

The concluding chapter outlines some of the primary findings of the volume. Firstly, how important the lack of political will has been in hindering the peace process and the post-war development in Nepal. It also argues that Nepal’s peace process has been very superficial as the root causes of the conflict still remain unaddressed. Finally, the chapter claims that in some cases the war has led to an increase of inequality and has led to new marginalised identities, namely conflict victims. The volume, written largely by practitioners based in Nepal, also offers some policy recommendations and research gaps that need to be explored in the future.
