ABSTRACT

Constructions may function dynamically in the same way of a recovery of a repressed traumatic childhood memory. Freud’s reformulation of the key terms “construction” (ideas) and “conviction” (feelings) as end products of psychic processes arise as processes of induction. Like any intuition, construction is an extension in the domain of myth and can serve as container for “non-mental experience”, which can reflect pre-verbal, perhaps even traumatic pre-natal events and sensations and the surging, unbound and not yet represented drive derivatives and excitations of the id. Emotional experience can only come to be known by becoming and at-one-ment, and an element or aspect may be grasped and spoken about by intuition.
