ABSTRACT
In this chapter the important role that partnerships play in the early years setting is examined. Throughout the chapter key ideas and concepts embedded in partnership work are explained and unpacked, including how educators might establish and facilitate effective partnerships. The barriers, challenges and opportunities found in partnership work are also introduced and discussed, and various strategies for engaging in and maintaining successful partnerships are highlighted. The chapter concludes by highlighting the importance of partnership work in the early years setting, including the benefits afforded to children, families, and educators.
