ABSTRACT

Chapter 2 presented the critical terms associated with equivalence-based instruction, such as discrete trial training, simple and conditional discriminations, node, reflexivity, symmetry and transitivity. Chapter 2 also briefly introduced the different types of training structures that can be used to teach the skills necessary for equivalence classes to form. Chapter 3 introduced the idea of sorting items as a testing methodology. This chapter not only presents and explains the different training and testing methods, but provides a “roadmap” for the design of a teaching session, including data sheets.
