ABSTRACT
Organisational psychology is an evidence-based discipline rooted in scientific research and methodology. In this chapter we will introduce the Scientist Practitioner Model, which underpins good practice, and explore the implications for evidence-based practice. The chapter will offer an introduction to research design, covering the process of qualitative and quantitative research, design and analysis. We will also cover some current issues in the field of psychological research methods.
