ABSTRACT

This chapter glimpses at the making and mattering of trans*disciplinary feminist dartaphacts in a research-engagement project that invited young people to unbox their relationships and sexuality education through the visual arts: from silk-painting to clay sculpting. The chapter introduces a visual figuration of ten images created and coproduced with young people. Each image links to a 2-minute film. These images are preceded by five paragraphs, each punctuated with a guiding sub-heading: what matters; un/boxing experience; what's a dartaphact; making a trans*disciplinary feminist dartaphact; and visual figuration. These paragraphs do not need to be read in sequence or at all. However, they collectively provide a glimpse of our trans*disciplinary phEmaterialist praxis (see www www.phematerialism.org).
