ABSTRACT
This chapter is an introduction to the third section of the handbook, entitled disciplinary disruptions. Through transformative and feminist transdisciplinary praxes, authors forge new pathways that significantly expand, refigure, and reimagine theoretical silos and normative approaches to inquiry and methodology. In doing so, Black feminist activism is centered, knowledge flows are re-oriented, hierarchies are undone through queering and decolonizing research, vibrant feminist ways of knowing, doing, and becomings are enacted, and academia is radically refigured. The wisdoms offered across the chapters of this section illuminate sites of social justice in action and inspire new openings for what is yet to be known.
