ABSTRACT

This chapter presents transdisciplinary feminism as love work in progress that honors and centers our bodies and embodied knowledges. We as six women who have been meeting monthly as a community reading group since 2015 write this with a collective voice. Approaching the work of mentoring/collaboration as interwoven relationships, we challenge what can officially be recognized as the work of mentoring/collaboration. By naming and narrating our vulnerable, complex, and committed collaborative processes, we celebrate named and unnamed work we have brought about, including one member's dissertation, as well as other writings, mentoring across generations, and community-building events. This chapter testifies to the possibility and accomplishment of everyday love work in progress across embodied differences, as well as encourages others to embark on their creative and loving work in progress. This is how we exceed academia's traditional disciplining/disciplinary structures and power.
