Your theory is too small

This chapter pushes for a more expansive view of theory and demonstrates how constructions of theory in academia are often too small. The author also shows how even critical scholars might be limited in their approach to theorizing because of dominant ideas of what theory should look like. The author uses examples from his own theoretical journey to demonstrate how a more expansive view of theory shapes his approach to research and supporting Black communities.
